"First aid" for victims

Victims of human trafficking are often afraid to seek help. This may be due to an emotional dependence of the perpetrator, shame or a fear of the consequences that would follow from a termination of the relationship.

Outside help is, therefore, extremely important.

In cases of suspected trafficking, a counselling center for victims of human trafficking should be contacted as soon as possible in order to discuss further steps. The counselling centers advise victims and can help find shelter in a safe house.

If you are not familiar with the counselling center in your area or cannot find one online, please contact us for help: info[at]ggmh.de
